Assembly of Farm-Maxx Enorossi Sickle Bar Mowers: This model is shipped on a plastic covered pallet. The assembly process is not a simple "easy-peasy - 30 minute task like it came from Amazon." It will require several hours labor and a helper will always be a great idea. First time tractor owners and folks not accustomed to assembling farm and hay tools implements will be wise to solicit the assistance from someone with experience.
Manual lift models: Raising and lowering the cutter bar is done manually with the operator standing on the ground beside the mower.. This process is made easier by a spring loaded assist system.
Hydraulic lift models: Raising and lowering the cutter bar is done hydraulically with a remote controlled hydraulic cylinder. The cylinder, hose, fittings and flow speed control valve come with the mower.
The tractor will need a remote control valve ( NOT FURNISHED WITH MOWER) to actuate the cylinder.
With both models: When preparing to transport or store, the operator will raise the cutter bar to 90 degrees vertical and attach a rigid transport locking rod.
A new PTO shaft comes with the mower. It may need to be cut ( made shorter) to work with the your trator. We provide tips to help with a link to YOU TUBE videos.
