Carver Equipment Co., Inc. was founded by J. Alvis Carver in the early part of 1959 as a local farm equipment company in Dunn, NC. Since age 12 years old, Steve Carver grew up in every department of the company and in 1981, his dad's death, became owner of the dealership. With the help and tireless support of a great management team during the period, construction and material handling products as well as a large rental fleet of tractors and other farm equipment were added to the company's offerings.
The following team of excellent business managers were key players in the company's success: Laura Tyndall, Robert Carver ( Steve's uncle), Willie Moses Clegg, Bernard Geddie, Terry Giles, Gordon Jackson, Al Murray, Jonathan Clear, Gary Strickland and Milton Webb. All these individuals are now retired or active in their own businesses.
Carver was one of the first equipment dealer businesses to use internet retail marketing and experienced huge growth in their customer base and range of sales.
The tractor dealership and repair shop portions of the business were sold in 2008 and all the direct web sells ,business services, marketing and skills training components of the business were grouped as Fast Forward Services, Inc. With a quick spreading reputation of great customer service, CarverEquipment.com began servicing customers across the USA.
In 2009, Steve Carver started creating and presenting 12-360 Presentations business topic and skills related public seminars. He delivered over seventy sessions in 2014 community colleges' Small Business Centers, Chambers of Commerce and private business clients.
