The Big Bee SCL96 is an 8-foot rotary cutter built for tractors in the 50–100 HP range — right in the sweet spot for mid-size farms and larger homesteads that need to cover real acreage. With a triple-gearbox drivetrain, dual stump jumpers, and a heavy 10-gauge deck, this cutter is designed to handle thick grass, weeds, brush, and saplings without slowing down. If you're maintaining big pastures, clearing overgrown fence lines, or mowing hay field borders, the SCL96 gives you 8 feet of cutting width so you spend less time on the tractor and more time doing everything else.

What Sets the SCL96 Apart

The triple-gearbox setup is the big story here. Instead of a single gearbox trying to power an 8-foot deck, the SCL96 uses a center T-gearbox feeding power out to two outboard gearboxes — one on each side. Each outboard box drives its own blade carrier independently. This distributes the load across the full width of the deck, reduces stress on any single drivetrain component, and delivers consistent cutting power all the way to the edges. The cross shafts connecting the gearboxes use fiber-padded couplers to absorb shock and protect the drivetrain when you hit something unexpected.

  Two free-spinning blade carriers with stump protection let the blades ride up and over stumps, rocks, and buried debris without damaging the deck or driveline.
• Free-Swinging Blades
  Two sets of free-swinging blades fold back on impact rather than breaking, reducing replacement costs and protecting the gearboxes.
• 10-Gauge Top Deck
  Heavy steel deck construction stands up to years of brush, rocks, and debris thrown by the blades.
• 11" Side Rails (3/16" Gauge)
  Tall, thick side skirts contain material and protect against thrown objects during operation.
• Dual Adjustable Tailwheels
  Two rear wheels support the deck evenly across the full 8-foot width and adjust to set your cutting height.
• Category II, Quick-Hitch Compatible
  Standard Cat II 3-point hitch with quick-hitch compatibility for fast hookup and disconnect.
• Bolt-On Safety Chains (Front & Rear)
