I agree they are over priced a bit. However, the lights are very high quality, include an on/off switch on the hosing, include commercial quality mounting and easy to install wiring leads. They almost never have to be replaced.
On over 300 of our rental -- leased units.... We've used these lights over 15 years on the industrial units with very good performance.
They indeed cost more, but they do outlast the "Walmart - Auto Zone" Kits. But they'll provide the basic lighting as well..... and many shoppers will choose to purchase them.
Some tractors will require a higher output alternator to power more than one extra light and keep the battery charged. The high cap. alternators cost approx. $160. extra.
