Moving
trailers -- boats, etc. with the loader.
Folks
that want to use the tractor-loader to help move their trailers and boats around
may find this info helpful.
95% of folks will simply install the ball at top cent forward edge of the
buckets top.
To prevent bending, a reinforce plate is always a good investment.
This may be used easily as long as the trailer tongue in left in a level --
horizontal position.
The operator can simply roll the bucket forward top forward thus lowering the
ball, position the ball under the tongue coupler, then roll back the bucket and
lift the loader arms to move the trailer.
Other ways to do it....
1. position the ball just behind the toothbar. Then drill or touch burn
the hole straight down thru the bottom of the bucket,
You could then just drop the ball shaft through the hole when need and use a
quick pin or nut under the bucket to secure it.
2. Install the ball on to one end of a channel iron strap approx. 20 inches
long. Align and drill two holes through the strap and the bucket bottom into
allow the strap to be bolted to the bucket and the ball to be extended forward
out IN FRONT of the toothbar. We could fabricate the piece for you.
We'll need to know how deep you bucket bottom is.
3. Install the ball on to one end of an L shaped channel iron bracket
strap that ends front the top of the bucket to the bottom of the bucket ... then
Ls out over and past the front of the cutting edge horizontally. The ball
is installed at the forward end of the horizontal member.
The top vertical member hooks over the bucket top. The bottom is bolted or
pinned to the bucket bottom.
This fabrication allows for the tongue load to be shared by the top and bottom
of the bucket.
Mirror
All these option are enhance by mounting a small mirror onto the grill guard to
allow the operation to see WHAT'S HAPPENING down front at the ball.
