Land
Clearing
Site preparation. Lets get to the fine
grade as quickly and inexpensively as possible. The "clearing work" always requires as much
horsepower, traction and under clearance as you can have and your budget will
allow. Usually the tractor that best serves a short term clearing
goal IS NOT the best model for the LONG TERM landscaping and maintenance needs
for the owner. A new tractor shopper is wise to
consider: A. RENTAL (short term) a
HD-Large-Powerful land clearing type tractor-loader-dozer to "knock out the
big stuff quickly, with ease. You gain: Not taking forever to complete a project. Not causing any long-term wear and tear, hour-run-up, dings-bents-dents on your LONG TERM INVESTMENT. Not drastically decreasing the value of your long-term investment with a short-term task. B. HIRING A CONTRACTOR (short term as possible) to do the items mentioned above. They will be able to do a lot of "clean up and hauling debris" that sometimes really slows down projects when you are working with small equip. C. USED. Purchasing used equipment now, and trading in or selling after the HD rough task is completed. D. Then purchase the right NEW TRACTOR. Purchase the new tractor that best serves your basic landscaping and maintenance needs. After the final graded lot / site is ready and the heavy duty land clearing work has been done by the equipment made for the extra heavy duty task, your tractor will be just fine and last you so much longer. |
