"Fine grading - A wonderful operator skill" Fine Grade = Very smooth a leveled surface of soil, seedbed, gravel, mulch, etc. On the Grande Ls and the B series tractors the operator can with very little practice learn to "fine grade." Very comfortably, you can easily lean over to the right to look down the side of the tractor at the bucket, rest your RH arm/elbow of the nice crown fender -- with your forearm and RH extending to and operating the "feather smooth" joystick control valve. Your LH is steering and (if with GST doing the f/rev. shifting). In this position -- at slow ground speeds, you can roll forward -- curl the bucket to the point the cutting edge is vertical. The visibility is so good that you can actually "super fine grade" with the unit. The combination of great visibility, to quality "feathering" joystick valve, total control trans/speed/power design... all add up to making the tractors the finest tractor-loaders on the market. We show this "real task ability" quality to shoppers every week in our rear demo area at the store..... We almost always "close the deals" with a hand shake while the shopper is still sitting on the tractor after he/she has done this "fine grading" on their own after a few minutes instruction and practice. Even a very inexperienced operator can learn the skill very quickly. When you add features like a (easy on/off) tooth bar for raking, rough levels, excavating or a 4n1 bucket for front "light dozing," grading, back dragging and pinching up debris ... with the great control and visibility of the tractor ...... the operator's performance is enhanced many fold. |
