Advice ... and caution...


When you add the 4n1 bucket to the tractor. The heavier bucket weight will cause you to become light on the rear end of the tractor and the loader to have a little less lifting capacity.  You should plan to add additional ballast or rear weight to the tractor to offset this change. When you add the 4n1 bucket to the tractor. The heavier bucket weight will cause you to have to be more careful about allowing the bucket to slam at the bottom of the dump cycle.  You should plan to feather the valve at the end of the dump cycle to prevent premature wear and breakage at the dump cylinders on the loader.

Kubota does not make the 4n1 buckets. I don't think any of the tractor mfgs actually make the buckets and almost all of them buy and offer the loader attachments from specialty mfgs.  Our most popular buckets are made by WR LONG MFG CO in Tarboro, NC.  They have been in business 20+ years and do a fine job.  The 4n1 bucket usually weighs about 150 pounds more than the standard bucket.

"Performance"

  • 1. Reduces loader lift capacity approx. 150 pounds.

  • 2. Enhances very positively all other aspects because it serves the duties of the:

    • 1. regular bucket

    • 2. grabbing/lifting function for debris/spoils handling

    • 3. pusher blade

    • 4. landscape leveling function as if being used as a box blade

    • 5. because of its multipurpose offerings, it saves the operator from the hassle of removing a backhoe often times to install implements on the three point hitch


      You may also add a       TOOTH BAR add further enhance the loader operations.  

   


The toothbar:

  • 1. Covers the cutting edge and therefore extends the life of the original bucket.

  • 2. Increases the tractor/loader's excavating / loading from hard packed pile by at least 30% due to the penetrating power and material loosening action of the many teeth.

  • 3.  Lifts and raises the material as it enters the bucket therefore improves your ability to fill the bucket.

  • 4.  Landscape task such as "light root debris removal" may be done with the rake action.

  • 5.  "Slices and incorporates materials" (lime fertilizer/seed/etc) into prepared seedbed to 2"/3" may be done with the rake action of the teeth.

  • 6.  Doubles the front cutting edge strength because of the design and mounting of the extra component metal. (note:Teeth points are easily replaceable.)

  • The easy on/off toothbars and slip over cutting edges, welded-on chain hooks may be added as well.

  • The 4n1 bucket weighs more than standard buckets, so you'll need to add counterweight on the rear of your tractor for best and safe performance.
